Should everyone get a participation award? Some people say participation awards help children feel proud and encourage them to try new activities, like joining an organised sport on the school oval. Others say awards should recognise real achievements because giving awards to everyone can make trying less important and may not teach children how to cope when they do not win. What do you think?
