My name is Max, and I was one of the luckiest kids in my town. I had always dreamed of a day when I could run wild in a toy store, with the chance to grab anything I wanted. Then, one day, it finally happened! I had won the competition to do a shopping spree at Mr. Toyland, the biggest toy store in the world! I was allowed to fill a cart with as many toys as I could in five whole minutes. I couldn’t believe it. Toys, games, action figures, stuffed animals, they were all mine to choose! The excitement bubbled inside me like a fizzy soda, but there was one tiny problem...

The complication

  • The timer stops with seconds left and Max realises a favourite toy is on a high shelf that the cart cannot reach.
  • A rival contestant sneaks back into the store and tries to grab toys from Max’s cart, causing a scene that could get Max disqualified.
  • The store alarm starts because too many toys are taken through the checkout area at once, and Max must decide whether to keep running or help fix the problem.
