The complication
- The cave’s pulsing light begins to change colour and the tunnels rearrange, trapping Eli, Zara and Finn in a part of the cave with no obvious exit.
- A rumoured guardian of the Blue Timber stirs when the stone floor trembles and confronts Eli, testing whether they are truly brave.
- The glowing Blue Timber is fragile and connected to the cave’s heartbeat, so taking it might stop the light and leave the cave collapsing around them.
