The complication
- Ethan discovers that only he notices the date and time are stuck, while everyone else acts as if nothing is unusual, making it hard for him to prove what is happening.
- The town starts to repeat small events more loudly and dangerously each loop, so Ethan must find the trigger before the situation becomes harmful.
- Every time Ethan tries to change something about the 28th, a new unexpected consequence appears on the same day, forcing him to choose which problem to fix first.
